Cancellation Policy.
01How to cancel
You can cancel a paid subscription (Basic or Pro) at any time from Account → Billing in two clicks. Cancellation is self-serve and is no more difficult than signing up. There is no requirement to call, email, or pass through retention steps to cancel.
02You choose one of two cancel options
When you cancel from Account → Billing, the app shows a modal with two clearly labelled options. You choose one; the outcome you see below matches the option you pick.
Option A — Cancel at period end (default)
- Your cancellation is scheduled for the end of your current paid billing period.
- You keep full access to your paid plan until that period ends.
- Your subscription will not renew. No further payments are taken.
- At period end, your account moves to the Free plan. We do not delete your data on cancellation; see the Privacy Policy for retention.
- There is no refund of unused time in the current period under this option.
Option B — Cancel now and refund unused days
- Your paid access ends immediately. Your account moves to the Free plan today.
- We refund a proportionate amount for the days you have not used in the current paid period.
- The refund is calculated as amount paid × (days remaining ÷ period days), floored to whole days, and issued via Paddle to your original payment method (typical 3–10 business days depending on your card issuer).
- Data retention is unchanged — we do not delete your data on Option B either.
The modal shows the calculated refund amount before you confirm, so you can see exactly how many days you have used and what the refund will be.
03Timing — avoiding the next charge
To be certain you are not billed for the next period, cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date. If you cancel after a renewal has already been charged, the cancellation applies to the following period and the period just charged runs to its end (subject to your statutory rights).
04Annual plans
Both cancel options apply to annual plans the same way they apply to monthly plans, with one thing worth noting up front: on annual plans, Option B refunds can be materialbecause a large fraction of the year may remain. For example, cancelling an annual plan in month 3 refunds roughly nine months’ worth of the annual price under Option B. The modal shows the exact number before you confirm.
If you prefer to keep access through the term you paid for, choose Option A — access continues to the end of the annual term with no refund, and no renewal.
Any applicable statutory withdrawal right on a new purchase still applies on top of these options (see Refund Policy Section 4).
05Free plan
The Free plan involves no payment, so there is nothing to cancel. You can stop using it at any time. If you wish to close your account entirely, you can delete it from Account → Settings.
06Cancellation, deactivation, and deletion are different things
- Cancellation stops billing. Your account stays open and moves to the Free plan at the end of the current paid period. Your data is kept. You can cancel from Account → Billing.
- Deactivation is a reversible pause. Your account is hidden, all email from us stops, and signing back in restores everything with your data intact. Use this if you are taking a break from your search. You can deactivate from Account → Settings.
- Deletion is permanent. Your account and personal data are removed in line with the Privacy Policy retention schedule. We require an email one-time-passcode confirmation to prevent accidental deletion. You can delete from Account → Settings.
Cancelling does not delete your account. Deleting your account does not by itself entitle you to a refund of a paid period.
07Statutory rights (EU / EEA / UK and other regions)
Nothing in this policy removes mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer-guarantee rights you have under the law of your country (including the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal, the Australian Consumer Law, and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where applicable). Where those rights apply, they take precedence. See the Refund Policy.
EU consumers can use the dedicated withdrawal function (Refund Policy Section 4.2) to exercise the 14-day right.
